Information Technology Analyst

Opportunity

As the newest member of our team, you will report to the Director, IT Infrastructure  to assist in the consistent and reliable day-to -day operations of the Desktop technology, Servers, Local Area Network (LAN), Wi-Fi, Tablets, Cell phones and PC peripherals (printers, copiers, etc.) by providing problem analysis, and solutions. 

This position provides end user desk-side and phone support for both hardware & software installations. You assist with PC security, responsible for daily backup and recovery, assist in business continuity and disaster recovery as it relates to servers. 

The Information Technology Analyst will develop and maintain relationships with ATRF staff members and work to ensure IT Infrastructure services are functioning as required. When required, assist the ATA school boards with the employer reporting process. The position will be required to provide technical support, training and back-up with other members of the Information Services department, work with other technical staff in providing technology options and solutions.

Responsibilities

Using the Helpdesk ticketing system, this position is responsible for triaging and responding to any problems that occur or items that are submitted for servers, workstations, software installs or end user IT requests. This position is responsible for all the deployment of the end user desktop hardware, relocations or changes. The successful applicant will bring to ATRF a proficiency in the Microsoft Office products, cell phone provisioning, familiarity with configuring and supporting tablet devices and a strong understanding of all Windows operating systems.

This position will assist in planning and implementing system changes both hardware/software and requires strong communication skills and proven abilities for creating and maintaining system and process documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A 2-year diploma, following high school completion (e.g., completion of a recognized program - NAIT, SAIT, GMC, etc.)   Microsoft Certification or equivalent education and experience, and Computer Systems Technology.
  • A minimum of three years' experience to less than five years' experience.
