Financial Analyst - Temporary

Established in 1939, the Alberta Teachers' Retirement Fund Board (ATRF) has provided exceptional administration for the Teachers' Pension Plans for Alberta for over 80 years. ATRF takes pride in delivering the highest quality service to more than 80,000 plan members.

Reporting to the Manager, Planning & Reporting, this position is responsible to provide strategic insight derived from financial analysis related to business performance, provide support in developing the budget, key performance indicators and benchmarking practices. The Financial Analyst will demonstrate strong analytical skills in supporting Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, as well as the financial record keeping process at ATRF, which includes (but is not limited to) completing journal entries, preparing and submitting filings, and completing reconciliations.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Capabilities:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks along with exceptional time management
  • Effective and professional communication as well as strong presentation skills
