Upcoming Webinars for Retired Members and Pension Recipients

October 31, 2024

We are excited to announce a newly developed presentation designed specifically for our retired members and pension recipients. The Pension Basics – Retired Members & Recipients presentation will provide valuable information to help you navigate your pension with confidence.

During the presentation, you will learn about managing your pension payments, such as banking information and income taxes, as well as provisions of the plan such as cost-of-living adjustments and the 0.6 rule. Information about what happens to your pension when you pass away will also be discussed.

Collaborative Webinars with ARTA

We are pleased to collaborate with the Alberta Retired Teachers’ Association (ARTA) for two upcoming webinars. These one-hour webinars will be hosted jointly and will cover various topics relevant to your retirement needs.

During these presentations, ARTA will be discussing the ARTA Benefit Plan, membership eligibility, the application process, and membership advantages. ATRF will cover the following topics:

  • Understanding your pension information statement
  • Pension options summary
  • Pension deposit dates
  • Cost-of-living adjustments (COLA)
  • Income tax information slips
  • Returning to teaching
  • Pension confirmation letters
  • Death after retirement
  • Relationship breakdown

Space for these two webinars is limited, so please register as early as possible. You can register through ARTA’s website by clicking the link for the webinar you would like to attend:
