From our office in Edmonton, the Alberta Teachers' Retirement Fund Board (ATRF) provides pension administration and investment management expertise, to serve our more than 80,000 members. ATRF administers the Teachers' Pension Plan for Alberta teachers employed in school jurisdictions and charter schools. ATRF also administers the Private School Teachers' Pension Plan for teachers employed by private schools in Alberta that have joined the plan.
Meeting the pension promise involves two core business areas: pension administration and investment management. We take pride in providing exceptional member focused services and information to our plan members, resulting in consistently high member satisfaction. We also strive to deliver outstanding investment management of the Plan's $16 Billion globally diversified investment portfolio. Fund assets are managed on an active basis by a team of internal investment professionals.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, People & Culture ("VP People & Culture") has overall responsibility for the strategic direction of the Human Resources, Corporate Communications, and Corporate Facilities Administration areas of ATRF. The VP People & Culture has the opportunity to put their own stamp on the progress already made in the creation and implementation of a progressive and responsive Human Resources office that links a comprehensive people strategy to the overall strategy of the organization.
As a trusted member of the executive team, the VP People & Culture will be a key contributor to the development and execution of the ATRF strategic plan. The VP People & Culture will be a strategic thought leader and trusted partner to all members of the executive team.
