Senior Security Analyst

The Alberta Teachers' Retirement Fund Board (ATRF) is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to join our dynamic, team-oriented organization located in Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting to the I.T. Security Manager, the position plays an integral role in identifying, designing and implementing enterprise information security solutions. This position is responsible for continually assessing the threat environment and ensuring effectiveness of ATRF's existing safeguards, as well as recommending and implementing additional safeguards as required.

Successful applicants will have completed a 4 year degree in Computing Science/Engineering or have a 2 year diploma in Computer System Security accompanied by a minimum of 5 years' work experience in a similar role. Applicants will have a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification or equivalent. This is a hands-on role that requires the administration of firewall, IPS, spam filters, antivirus technology, and SIEM. Expertise in vulnerability assessment/penetration testing and risk assessment are key requirements. Experience with tools associated with malware analysis and code analysis are considered an asset.
