The Alberta Teachers' Retirement Fund Board (ATRF) requires a full-time Communications Specialist to join our dynamic, team-oriented Corporate Services team located in Edmonton, Alberta.
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications, this position is responsible for supporting the internal and external communications activities for ATRF, with a specific focus on content-generation and online activities/developments, which will be completed by working with ATRF client groups, designers, and suppliers to help create effective communication products. Other responsibilities of this role will be to develop online/digital strategies and content for key audiences/stakeholders, including social media and video development and production, as well as the researching, drafting, and proofreading of content for internal and external websites, ad copy, brochures, presentations, and other communication materials.
The successful applicant will bring to ATRF strong research, writing, and editing skills across print and digital channels and have experience working with Microsoft Office and SharePoint, website management systems, web and social media analytics programs, HTML, Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop. A degree is required in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field, combined with five to eight years of experience in a similar role.
